Just like last week there were numerous wins and top placings by everyone – Hunters, Jumpers and Equitation - Juniors, Amateurs and Professionals! Such a well-rounded group of riders!! Special thanks to Michael DelFiandra for all his help training and Lorcan for pitching in too.
Professionals:
Main Road, owned by Sweet Oak Farm and Seabrook LLC, was 1st, 2nd and 5th in the 7 Year Old Jumpers. This horse is going to be one to watch for sure. USA D’Horset was right behind the win on Main Road with a 2nd, both horses were ridden by Shane Sweetnam. Eregast Van’t Kiezelhof was double clear landing 2nd in the Hagyard Lexington Classic. Lorcan Gallagher wasn’t far behind on Casper taking 5th in the same class. Lorcan was in the money as well on Caphur in the 1.40. A number of these horses are for sale.
Equitation:
Tracey Gorin-Byrne won the Ariat National Adult Equitation (again). Brett Burlington was 2nd in both the USEF Talent Search and the Medal Class on Diorado VDL.
Hunters:
Lindsey Tomeu on Holiday and Tracey on Wagner Park took away top placings in the Adult Amateurs 18-35 and Caraway with Brett Burlington did the same in the Large Junior Hunters <15.
Ponies:
Mr. Magoo as reported on earlier was Champion and Halisko with Christina Rogalny in the stirrups received top ribbons in almost every class in the highly competitive Medium Pony Hunters. Everyone is in Kentucky for Pony Finals. And Olivia Sweetnam competing against 18 in the short-stirrup division took away TEN great top ribbon placings in both the hunters AND equitation divisions on Smartie and Berry.
On to the Jumpers:
Besides Lindsey Tomeu being Champion on Bonapart (two class wins) and 2nd in the Adult Jumper Classic and Logan Marksbury winning the NAL/WIHS Adult Jumper Classic everyone got something! Lacey Gilbertson took away ribbons on Modern Music, Easy Money and All Star De L’Aube. Lacey just missed being in the money in the Kentucky Summer Grand Prix on Echo D. It was a great effort and out of 40 in the class they ended up 13th . Skylar Rogalny on Quiloa was in ribbons in the Low Juniors, Kaely Tomeu was 2nd on Fidalgo in the High Jr./AO Jumpers, Brett Burlington was 3rd on Anders Wictor L. In the SJHF Jr. Jumper Classic Brett took away 7th on Anders Wictor L and 8th on Bluf. The Amateurs were just as good in the SJHF AO Jumper Classic – Kaely Tomeu was 7th on Capitol, Lacey was 8th on Easy Money and 10th on All Star De L’Aube
