What an amazing week for the Sweet Oak Farm team…from riders, to trainers, to grooms, to friends, family and supporters. It was one of those weeks where so much goes the right way…which we know in the horse show world that isn’t always the case.

SHANE SWEETNAM WINS ALI SWEETNAM A LONGINES WATCH
Shane had an amazing week ending it with the Leading Rider Award and $30,000 check from Longines and a beautiful new Longines watch.

AND the next day Shane was winner on Spy Coast Farm’s Ergast Van’t Kiezelhof.

As the week progressed he kept on rolling – the only rider to have two clear in the $50,000 Grand Prix qualifier. Chaqui Z finished 2nd and then 7th on Sweet Oak Farm’s recent import Easy Contact Humlan. The points kept racking up -  3rd on Main Road (Seabrook LLC) in the $10,000 Open Jumper class, 4th on another recent Sweet Oak import, Special Line H in the Merrill Lynch Speed Derby, and Spy Coast Farm’s Beluga took away several top ribbons. Then to top off the week and put the Longines Rider Challenge to bed Chaqui Z was brilliant in the $250,000 Grand Prix finishing 6th. In the end it wasn’t even close – Shane finished with 355 points, Todd Minikus was second with 170 points, and Paul O’Shea third with 165 points.
LORCAN GALLAGHER TAKES A BIG WIN
Lorcan Gallagher took the win in the $20,000 Royalton Farms Jumper Challenge on Alexander DeVries’ Esquina Van Klapscheut. Listen to Lorcan talk about that exciting win:

THE AMATEURS ARE EQUALLY ON FIRE
The Tomeu sisters were amazing, awesome, brilliant and Champions – Lindsey Tomeu was Champion on Bonapart in the Adult Jumper division, winning two classes and finishing 7th in the Adult Jumper Classic. Kaely Tomeu was Champion in the High Amateur Owner Jumper division on Fidalgo Van Het Leliehof. Kaely finished 2nd in the $25,000 Campbell Stables Jumping Derby. Only 4 qualified in the final jump-off and Kaely went 3rd giving it her all going double clear. Only the last rider was able to catch her. Kaely also had success on Capitol in the Rose Hill Amateur Jumper 1.40 class.
